To this day I refuse to be a color
telling others about my skin.
I'd rather not say anything at all
so that maybe someone will see
the reality of me.
I don't even dress my occupation
because
I mostly do not care.
It is summer now
and I'll be wearing black
shoes and a white pullover.
I'd love to know what you think
when you think then
of me.
Of all the men on earth, please
do not stereotype my life.
I am the one who stays
giving you a hand.
I am not the world
kicking to your face
brown sand.
